The previous script I was working on was shown to an acquaintance of mine. Little did I know that it put him to make a decision to make things right with the Lord. I was not privy to what occurred, but I believe the sole purpose for that script was to ignite a fire under this young brothers derriere to get him to do the right thing. I pray and hope that it will only serve to bless him and only strengthen his marriage. I may go back to it some time, but right now, I'm back at writing the blog. Until the Lord tells me otherwise, I'm going to come back and write on a more regular basis. These two blogs that I have will be used as they were intended for. One for my more creative ideas, a sounding board for my writing, and the other to use my gifts however the Lord would lead me to effect change in the hearts and minds of the reader. If one person can receive healing, if one person can be touched for the Lord, and to make a decision to lead a more productive and positive life that honors the Lord, then the blog has served its purpose.

I just want to be about what God wants, and not simply looking to put my name out there. In the past I just made my writing, well it was just work. Writing to me was supposed to be my passion, and only until recently, I had no passion to do anything, much less write in a blog. Who knows who reads these. Now, I just don't care who reads these blogs. To me, my writing is a form of art, a form of expression that helps me to me express my ideas and thoughts. Agree or disagree, the best thing about a blog is that it's primarily a one-sided discussion. I don't have to physically get in front of large crowds of people and I can actually be heard and not drowned out because my voice just wasn't loud enough, or i was not important enough to be heard. I get that way too often, and when you do have something important to say, you are just drowned out or ignored. Sounds familiar doesn't it kids? I feel you. Can you hear me, are you listening or is it just blah blah blah.

Praise the Lord for the Internet, for all of its warts, God has and is using it to transform the world in places we never would have dreamed possible.

Please stay tuned, I will be here regularly and will however the Lord leads me to provide meaningful content in the near future.

writing project 4-17-08

Hey guys, sorry its been so long since my last post. I've been steadily working through this latest script, and thank God I am beginning to see it take shape. It's tough and raw, but contains so many nuggets of truth; I just pray that the Lord will use it to set a lot of people free.

The story revolves around this young newlywed couple who's marriage is in shambles. We deal with emotions such as indifference, anger, shame, and guilt, and how through confession, and a genuine brokenness how God can heal a broken relationship.

Love can heal any wound, and if addressed properly when it is turned over to the Lord, true healing can begin.

I have one of my mentors looking over it now. As expected, there's a ton of work to do on it yet, but the intention for this script is to submit it as a short film to minister to couples in broken relationships.

1. Get counseling from a godly counselor, preferably your pastor

2. If not set up through your counselor/pastor, ask to get set up with a couple who is in a successful and fruitful marriage who can mentor you, and help you over the rough spots. You will need another couple to stand beside you to help you get your marriage right side up again, who will be there to pray for you and provide godly counsel and accountability.

3. Don't keep things bottled up. It will do more harm than good, and will only serve to prolong the suffering, both on yourself and on the offended party.

4. Be genuine, do not make excuses for your failings, just be real, honest and humble.

Obviously there is more to learn from this project, but you can pretty much get the gist of the content featured in this script.

Please keep me in prayer as I endeavor to glorify God in this project.

writing project update 3-12-08

Wow, how awesome is God?

I felt compelled to look over the themes suggested for the short film submissions and felt strongly about two resounding themes. As I researched the scriptures the Lord gave me several passages to use as each of their basis.

I will be working on two short film ideas and a third script for my friend's anthology series.

All of them all have a basis to which I can work from now. All of the themes I am intimately familiar with and will be something of an outpouring of myself into these 3 projects.

I have as of now three documents labeled for each project with each theme listed and scripture reference included. The Lord also gave me titles to work from. When I get them completed I will share the details with you later, but its really exciting to see God show up. How awesome is this? Im geeking out :)

Please continue to keep me and my family in prayer as I work through each of these projects.

Hey everyone, please forgive the smatterings of writing lately on this site. I have in the past few days been in contact with a friend who needs a ton of prayer. Please keep my friend and his household in prayer.

I have been asked to help work on a project, but I realize this had more to do with God's plan for personal ministry than for a writing opportunity.

I am starting a writing project for a short film. I have several ideas to work from and will be writing feverishly to get this done in very little time. An opportunity has presented itself to use my gifting in such a wonderful capacity. Please keep this in prayer as I seek to honor the Lord.

I have posted in my main blog that I will be going into a temporary hiatus. I will send more updates as time rolls on. However I will be posting here more often because of the nature of the work I am doing.

It's been a while, but I think its far past time I use this blog space for what it was created for.

Stay tuned and lets work hard to change our world for Christ!

Meaningful Entertainment

Wow, this is what they call "meaningful" Irresponsible parents? A couple of lesbian women are raising a little boy and feel it important to have an animated show depict a boy growing up with two gay women.

"In a statement on the animation's website from her partner and she, executive producer Towne-Colley details the origin and purpose of the series: "We know we are a minority and that most kids have a mom and a dad, but for little guys like our son we thought 'wouldn't it be grand if there were something more available to them.' … The more we talked about it the more important it became. It was almost like, if we didn't do something about it after we had this fantastic idea, then we were somehow being irresponsible parents. "

Im sorry but this just isnt right. Women can not procreate and produce children amongst themselves. (Unless you go the a.s. method) They can not procreate with one another. That is the way God intended it to be. God made man and woman to be one unit, to be fruitful and multiply. Im not mad at these women, I'm just mad at how the church has fallen asleep and we as a christian community have let things slide so much. A child in America being raised in a home of a gay couple, and you are going to tell me that this is ok? Now we are going to put out an animated show about it?

Meaningful entertainment, this in itself gives me the drive to produce my own "meaningful entertainment" where we return to old fashioned values and principles. Little by little we see values play the disappearing act from the shows we watch on tv, and the movies we go see at the theater.

More and more my determination to no longer have cable tv in my house deepens. To expose my children to the filth that is littering the air waves, I would rather go ahead and have them spend time playing around in the house than sitting hours on end behind the tube. Yeah I miss things like basketball, but I catch when I can on the radio. The shows, I have the internet, so my computer acts like a vcr. I can record the shows and later watch them at my leisure. Who needs a dvr or tivo? As one of my favorite pastors stated I need to protect the kid in me. It's not just for my kids, but for my wife and I. The less junk we expose ourselves, the better off we are. It just isnt healthy.

Im going to have to invest money on larger capacity HDD.

I am placing a hold on this site until further notice. I am currently working on the 1st chapter of this novel and producing an outline for the following month's Word Weavers meeting. Word Weavers is the writers group that I attend monthly. When I have something substantial to share, I will go ahead and post it. Until then, please pardon the brief interruption.

Fleshing it out

Well, this is the other part of my 2-a-days posting. This blog is going to be dedicated to fleshing out and forging ahead with my novel/script project which I have been working on for the past 20 some odd years.

I will leave little nuggets of information, I'll toss out a few things and see what you all think and gauge your interest and ideas. It always helps when you have a set of fresh eyes to look over your work, so you may see me throw an idea out and hopefully someone will catch on and take a stab at it. Give me a fresh perspective on it. I will also need a lot of help as it relates to research. The research will be heavily into science, geology, metaphysics, astronomy. I want this story to be entertaining, but I also want it to be believable.
